Broken Arrow Ranch | A Ministry of the Kansas-Nebraska Conference

Generations of Service

Since 1970, Broken Arrow Ranch (BAR) has provided the Kansas-Nebraska Conference with a safe place to learn about Jesus Christ. During the Summer Ministry Program, BAR provides a safe environment, away from the noise of the world, where young people can grow in their relationship with Christ through intentional programming and activities designed to teach young people to see Jesus in every aspect of life. Throughout the year, BAR offers the KS-NE Conference a quiet place for a church retreat or school function. Generations of young people have come through Broken Arrow Ranch, many of whom have become staff themselves. As adults, they send their own children to experience a week at this Christ-centered summer ministry.  We look forward to ministering to your family too!

I got to go to camp the very first summer that it was open over 45 years ago! Many happy memories are attached to Broken Arrow Ranch for me!

This was my first year, and I came with my daughters and their families. They have come the last 2 years. There were 10 of us, and we had an awesome time, and hated for it to end. It was a joy to get away from home duties, and have time to just focus on being a family. My 5 grandchildren, age 4 to 13 loved it!

I attended BAR as a camper myself, now as a father of three I can’t wait for each summer to come around & to hear stories of my kids’ time at camp. The staff are amazing & provide my kids with opportunities they may never get if it weren’t for Broken Arrow.

About Our Camp

Camp history

The original land was purchased in 1970. Several acres have been added through the years to make a total of 422 acres.  The camp is located on Tuttle Creek Lake near Manhattan, Kansas. It has been said that this area has the only sandy beach in Kansas. The camp was built primarily by conference personnel (pastors and office staff) and lay members.

Property and Camp Facilities

The camp has eleven cabins, each housing seven to nine campers and a counselor. Each cabin has a shower and a restroom. There is a lodge containing a large dining room, kitchen, four staff rooms with two bath-rooms, rec-room and stove. There is a staff cabin, nature and craft building, restroom facilities for camp visitors, a shop, ranger’s home, horse barn, covered pavilion for camp activities, an office, pool and a medical building.
